Took a van across America, with some strangers. As you do... - Part Two

So where were we...?

We'd just headed out on the trip, moving from New York to Washington DC where we all got to know each other and spent our first nights in the tents before heading on through Virginia into Tennessee.  Here's a map of the trek so far:

A = Hilton Hotel at Newark Intl. Airport
B = Cherry Hill Park, Washington, DC
C = Warrior's Path State Park, TN.
D = Adventures Unlimited, Ocoee, TN.

Took a van across America, with some strangers. As you do... - Part One

For starters...

It's a really daunting thing trying to write a blog about the three week trip you took with 13 strangers across a country.  For a start, you have to try to remember everywhere you went and everything that you did, as well as remembering the incidental shenanigans that usually spice up the tale.  I've come to the conclusion that this is near impossible considering that, two weeks into the trip, we were already having a hard time remembering what we'd done!  Imagine the mammoth task in front of me then to try and rake these memories back now that I'm sat at home, in my very normal life, with a million distractions around me!

Back with a bump and other injuries...

Crack for fantasy geeks
Hello everyone!  I'm back from my trip across America and am currently penning the whole three week journey to post as a blog on here, but you're going to have to wait a little while longer for that, both because there's a lot to get through and so it'll most likely be in three parts and because I have a lot of tv to catch up with and I am the worlds biggest procrastinator without the lure of Season 2 of Game of Thrones and all five seasons of Six Feet Under to get through!

Quitting, the Dalek Guide to Success and One Excited Geek!

Hi folks!

So, for any of you who've read my previous posts, you'll know that I recently gave up smoking.  In fact, as I sit here and write this post, it has been two weeks to the day since I last had a cigarette!  I am rather proud of this fact and even more proud of the way I have handled the cravings.  You see, I will never be one of those people who claims that giving up smoking was easy, because it isn't.  It is, in fact, one of the most mentally exhausting things I've done recently.

What Type Of Geek Are You!?

Hello everyone!

As I sit here and ponder, life, the universe and all sorts of stuff, I've come to the conclusion that almost everyone is some kind of geek!
